HCDP County-Wide Democratic Family Picnic, Sunday, August 3, 2008, 12 to 4pm at Patton Park, Highway 25 near Burger King.  HCDP will supply refreshments, games, and fun; you bring your picnic lunch and a dish to share.  We'll have storytellers, a clown and games.  Meet local and statewide candidates too!  The pool will be available.

Democratic National Convention, August 25-28, 2008, Denver Colorado. Watch for televised coverage of Senator Obama's speech on Thursday, August 28, from Denver's mile-high stadium. 

Apple Festival, August 29, 30, 31 and September 1, 2008.  Join the Democratic Party at their booth on Main Street.  Want to volunteer to be in the booth for a few hours?  Call 692-6424 to inquire.  If you missed your chance to walk in the Coon Dog Day parade with Kay Hagan, don't miss another opportunity to be a participant at the Apple Festival Parade.  Walk or ride on the Democratic Party float!  Call the office at 692-6424 and sign-up!  First callers may get to ride the float!
